Scintillating Café "Support for the Visually Impaired. How our eyes see things and research into artificial vision."

Professor Kameda is engaged in research in an artificial vision device capable of restoring light to persons who have lost their sight due to age or illness. Join us in thinking about how it is we perceive things as we investigate the research in the sense of sight.

There is no entrance fee for attending this event and advance registration is not required. Admission will be limited to those who come first if persons attending exceeds capacity of the venue.

Osaka University consists of more than schools and graduate courses where students study; there also research institutes and centers conducting scintillating research. The Osaka University Research Council promotes mutual cooperation among these research institutes and centers in supporting young researchers with outstanding abilities and actively contributing to research communities in the world.

What is a Scintillating Café?

Scintillating Café is the name for an informal seminar sponsored by Osaka University Research Council and the Support Office for Large-Scale Education and Research Projects. The Scintillating Cafés invite researchers and serve as forums for dialogue between researchers and citizens. The organizers hope that participants can appreciate these chances to learn about next-generation environmental technology and bioscience in these Cafés.
