A lecture by Mr. Fabrice Virgili will be held on Wednesday, October 10.

An exhibition entitled "Amours guerres et sexualité [Love, War, and Sexuality] 1914-1945" was held in 2007. How were masculinity and femininity used to mobilize people for war? How were prostitution, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, censorship, sexual violence, morals, and family ties used as a means for sexual control? Mr. Fabrice Virgili, Researcher at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique [French National Centre for Scientific Research] who was also involved in the planning of this exhibition, will speak about these issues.
