3rd Kansai Art Conference Symposium -- Roles of Society and Art

The Kansai Art Conference invites persons living in the Kansai and active in Japan and abroad to these symposiums to speak. The third symposium of this conference will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2010.

The guests are WASHIDA Kiyokazu, president of Osaka University whose "clinical philosophy" attempts to relate philosophical ideas to the real world and YANAGI Miwa, an artist, born in the Kansai, whose art has been well received both here and overseas.
They will talk about possibilities of art in society to move us beyond the conventional framework and open us to a new world view by amazing us and causing us to question what we see.
