Conflicts that we hear about & conflicts ignored -- "Stealth conflicts"

2010-2-7 (Sun) 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Society, Politics, Economics, Law

Twenty to thirty armed conflicts are taking place in the world, but only one or two of these conflicts receive much attention in mainstream media. Moreover, attention is focused on certain conflicts without regard to the scale or importance of the conflict, ignoring the world's largest conflict.

Why do some conflicts receive media attention while others are ignored? We will search for some of the reasons in this workshop.

There is no participation fee.
