Japanese Society as Viewed by a Pakistani

2009-11-10 (Tue) 11:00 a.m. - 12 noon

We are pleased to welcome Ms. Najma Iftikhar Raja (محترمہ نجمہ افتخار راجہ), author of travel books in Urdu and wife of the world-famous brain surgeon Dr. Iftikhar Raja to speak with us on the topic of "Japanese Society as Viewed by a Pakistani" on Tuesday, November 10. Admission is free so please plan to attend.

A brief bio of Ms. Raja

As wife of the famous Dr. Iftikhar Raja, Japan was the first country that she and her husband visited some years ago. She recorded her experiences in a travel diary. After the death of her husband in an unfortunate air plane accident several years ago, last year, Fujita Health University (in Nagoya) began inviting Ms. Raja to a commemoration of the achievements of her late husband. She is kind enough to include a visit --this year her second-- to the Urdu Department of Osaka University.
