Nambu’s Century: International Symposium on Yoichiro Nambu’s Physics

2015-11-16 (Mon) 09:30 -

Osaka University Graduate School of Science will be holding an international symposium to commemorate Osaka University Distinguished Professor Yoichiro Nambu, who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2008 and passed away in July of this year. He led modern physics for over 50 years after WWII and established basic concepts and theories, particularly in particle physics.

In this symposium, researchers who took up physics with Dr. Nambu and young researchers and students who seek research careers in physics will come together to take a look at Dr. Nambu's achievements and explore hints for developing physics in the future. Researchers associated with Dr. Nambu from home and abroad will deliver speeches.
