6th Joint Symposium of Kobe, Kyoto, and Osaka universities -- "The World as revealed through Large-Scale Simulations"

2013-2-22 (Fri) 1:30 p.m. -

The three universities of Kobe University, Kyoto University, and Osaka University have been holding joint international symposiums since 2007 for the purpose of contributing to the development of researchers and engineers with advanced expertise, a step that will then help revitalize the Kansai region through symposiums that promote science, technology, culture, and art.

The 6th Joint Symposium of Kobe, Kyoto, and Osaka universities -- "The World as revealed through Large-Scale Simulations" will be held on Friday, February 22.

In this symposium, researchers at the three universities will present latest research achievements that made use of supercomputers, particularly the Supercomputer K.

Following the lectures by three researchers, large-scale 3D data visualization will be demonstrated. The demonstration will be followed by a panel discussion about "What can Supercomputers do?" This symposium will clarify expectations and possibilities of large-scale simulations.

The presenters look forward to welcoming you.

Venue: Convention Hall, Integrated Research Center, Kobe University, 7-1-48 Minnatojima-minami-machi, Chuo-ku, Kobe
