2012 Safety and Hygiene Lecture -- Preparing for Earthquake Disasters

Scheduled in conjunction with National Safety Week --July 1st through 7th-- and promoted by organizations such as the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the purpose of this lecture is to heighten the attention paid to safety by members of the Department of Safety and Hygiene.

This year, HIRONO Tetsuro, Associate Professor, Space and Earth Science Department, Graduate School of Science, Osaka University and TOBITA Jun, Director, Disaster Management Office, Nagoya University, have been invited to speak about the mechanism of earthquakes and advanced countermeasures for disaster prevention.
