On Sunday, March 4, an Osaka University Symposium on the future of Japan is being held at the Mainichi Newspapers' Oval Hall.

In this symposium, specialists at Osaka University will present proposals about Japan's future. What have we learned from terrible devastation caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake, its aftermath, and the storms and floods later in the year? How can we assist as citizens? With Japan facing stagnation, specialists at Osaka University will present their ideas and offer insights regarding what we can do 'here' and 'now' to build the future of Japan. They will also discuss the future facing Japan's youth, of those under 30.

Venue: Oval Hall, 1st basement, The Mainichi Newspapers, 3-4-5, Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka

Seating space at the venue: 450 (seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis)
