Handai Boat will join the annual "Funatogyo"

2010-7-25 (Sun) 6:00 p.m. -

Funatogyo is the climax of the Osaka Tenjin Festival, one of the three major festivals in Japan. In Funatogyo, about 100 elaborately-designed boats go up and down the Yodogawa [Yodo River]. This year will be the sixth time for Osaka University to participate in this event in the Tenjin Festival. The Handai boat will be launched on the river with a new appearance, adding to the atmosphere and the enjoyment of the onlookers and citizens.

Handai family members --faculty, staff, students and alumni-- please come on board and enjoy this seasonal tradition of Osaka to the fullest!
