31st Osaka University Summer Festival

The Osaka University Summer Festival will be held on the Minoh campus on Saturday, July 10. Including the festivals held when the School of Foreign Studies was known as Osaka University of Foreign Studies, this will the 31st Summer Festival held on the Minoh campus!

One of the major characteristics of the festival is its international flavor. Rooted in the local community, the Summer Festival is known as a festival not just for Osaka University students, but also as a festival of and for members of the local community and festival group members.

Come one and come all on Saturday, July 10th!


Date & time: July 10, 2010, 11:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Venue: Minoh Campus, Osaka University (former Osaka University of Foreign Studies)

Access:By Osaka Monorail, the campus is a 15-minute walk west from Saito-Nishi or by Hankyu Bus, take the bus bound for "Matani-Jyutaku 4".

Feature attractions: Bon dances, stalls, ethnic costume collection, stage performances, and more!

Please note:

Please do NOT come by private car -- use public transportation to get the campus. Moreover, coming by scooter or bicycle is not advised due to congestion in and around the North Parking Lot. Therefore, please use public transportation or walk. However, at the same time, realize that public transportation will be, at times, quite crowded.
