International Physics Course

Course Concept

The International Physics Course (IPC) has been established in the Department of Physics, Graduate School of Science, of Osaka University. In this program, graduate students are provided with an education and research program conducted in English. The curriculum is designed so that a student can work as an active member of international collaborations in, for example, theory or experiments using large-scale facilities. Osaka University is unique in that we have our own facilities including a large-scale laser and large-scale accelerator. Students interested in condensed matter physics and other fields of physics are also encouraged to join the course. We welcome students from abroad to join us in Osaka University.

  • The M.S. and Ph.D. courses both started from October 1, 2010.
  • Scholarships are available.

Research Groups and Faculties

We have 34 groups led by full professors covering research in particle and nuclear physics, astrophysics, plasma physics, condensed matter, statistical, and inter-disciplinary physics. Details of the groups and faculties are shown at our web site . Feel free to contact us for additional information.
