Financial Aid for Student Exchange Programs (in-coming)
Monthly amount of financial aid or loan: 80,000 yen
Financial support period: period approved by Osaka University from September 2012 to March 2013 (maximum of 6 months)
Note: Amount of financial aid or loan may change due to limitations to the government budget. Details will be informed to successful candidates.
Eligibility
- Students enrolling in regular courses at overseas universities that allow the students to take classes at Osaka University without paying any additional tuition fees.
- Students who have obtained support from their university to be one of their exchange students to Osaka University.
- Students who will participate in student exchange programs for more than 3 months, less than 12 months.
- Students whose financial aid or loan from other organizations do not exceed 50,000 yen per month when studying at Osaka University.
- Students in possession of good character and good health who have achieved a superior academic record and have clear-cut objectives of studying at Osaka University.
- Students whose grade point average of latest transcript is 2.30 or higher.
- Students who have never studied in Japan through this system.
How to calculate grade point averages
If your university or institute does not apply the GPA on a scale of 1 to 3 or GPA itself, calculate your evaluation score using the points shown in the table below. Round to three decimal places.
