The Investigative Commission
regarding the Legal Status of Osaka
University was established in September 1999. Composed mainly of deans
and
directors, it comprehensively investigated the legal
status of the
University. The commission collected the results of their investigation
after
the interim report published in March 2001.
This
report states only the framework and policy of the committee. Beginning
from April 2003, Osaka
University is making use of a specific system under
the direction of the Preparatory Committee for Osaka University
Corporation reflecting a variety of opinions
in campus.
