Regarding recruitment agreement, universities have defined "Job Search for Students Graduating from Universities, Colleges, Technical High Schools in the Academic Year of 2012-2013," and companies defined "Corporate Ethics regarding Employment Screening," confirming that both parties will respect the other party's policies.

In actively seeking employment, students are encouraged to understand the above notice from MEXT regarding recruitment agreement between universities and companies when engaging in a search for employment. If you get involved in some sort of trouble, please inform the Student Center immediately.

Osaka University provides students with support for finding employment in accordance with the above notice from MEXT and hopes that companies and organizations wishing to hire students understand the situation. Your cooperation is highly appreciated.
Notice for students engaged in employment searches
As you may already be aware, due to the Great East Japan Earthquake and its aftermath, unavoidable changes in schedules for explanatory sessions and/or employment examinations have been made by many industries, companies, and other organizations. Consequently, if you are involved in actively seeking employment, please do your best to gather the latest information from the organizations you're targeting in your searches. Likewise, be sure to double check information regarding public transportation and such as you go about your job searches.

Regarding Cancellation of Tentative Offers
In the event of a tentative offer you received being canceled due to cascading effects of this earthquake and/or its aftermath, please inform the school affairs office of the school or graduate school you belong to concerning the cancellation.
Similarly, if you are worried or would like to talk things over, please contact the Career Support Division and/or one of the Student Support Stations.

Decisions
The Support System for assisting with employment was revised in October
2010. Students, faculty, staff, and companies wishing to hire students
are invited to make use of this system.
Support System for Finding Employment
Services available on the KOAN web site are:
- Access to records of place of employment of Osaka University students for the academic year of 2007 to 2009.

Information about internships, guidance in looking for a job, and company explanatory sessions (both at and outside of Osaka University facilities).

Information for students who'd like to be public servants or teachers at private schools.
- A forum for facilitating
communication between Osaka University
students and companies wishing to hire them.
- A forum in which students
seeking employment can exchange information.
- Information about job hunting offered by the university.
- Information on position
openings (inaugurated in October 2010).

System
for Publishing Employment Decisions
All students are requested to enter, or "publish" their career choice regardless of whether they intend to look for employment or continue their education after graduation. Students should enter this information in the system once their steps after graduation have become clear. This information enables the university to know students' steps after graduation and becomes important reference data for current students when it is their time to decide their next steps. The collected data is also used for creating questionnaires.
Deadline for submission: after your steps after graduation have been decided.
Submit to: Enter your information on the Employment Decision Survey System of Employment category on KOAN.
Students who cannot enter their information via KOAN are should fill out the form related to steps after graduation attached to the Job Search Guidebook and submit that form to the employment staff at their school or graduate school.

Information Corners
The
Occupation Information Corners
are located in Student Centers at Suita, Toyonaka
and Minoh. These Occupation Information Corners
have listings of position openings from various businesses as well as
pamphlets and brochures from such. Moreover, they are also
equipped with computers you are welcome to
use for career searches. The hours for the Information Corners are the
same as those for
Student Centers.
Please note: Materials at the occupation information corner at Toyonaka Student Center have been transferred to the Career Support Materials Corner at the Main Library as of August 1, 2011. For more information, click here.

Occupational Counseling
At the Suita, Toyonaka, and Minoh Campuses, occupation counselors provide career counseling. Appointments are not necessary, so feel free to make use of this service.
During certain periods, an additional occupational counselor will be available at the office. Moreover, both the hours and days in which counselors are available are being increased.

Regarding the photo above, business guidance sessions have been held on Suita and Toyonaka campuses. Representatives of top companies in various sectors of industry made short presentations.
Counseling service by career development advisers and resumé photo sessions were available at the Sunday sessions.
