Osaka University Supporters’ Association

The Osaka University Supporters’ Association is a foundation established in 1991 for the purpose of contributing to the development of Japan’s education and research by providing necessary assistance to Osaka University: (1) in its education and research activities, (2) in international exchange, and (3) in the improvement and maintenance of its education and research facilities.
Thus far, the association has conducted the following activities for the purposes outlined below:

Assistance for education/research
  1. Education/research activity expenses for Osaka University faculty
    • For faculty (for assistants with less than 5 years experience)
    • For students in the 2nd semester of a graduate school doctor’s course (including international students)
  2. Expenses for academic meetings
  3. Financial assistance for Osaka University students
  4. Scholarships for Osaka University students with outstanding academic records
Assistance for international exchange
  1. Financial assistance for travel expenses, in whole or part, for faculty joining international conferences
    (length of stay must be approximately 2 weeks)
  2. Financial assistance for travel expenses for faculty temporarily transferred to a sister school
  3. Financial assistance for international students
