Returning to the origin of flamenco

Flamenco clubs of 6 universities -- Osaka University, Kansai Gaidai University, Kobe City University of Foreign Studies, Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto Sangyo University, and Kyoto University of Foreign Studies will hold a joint flamenco performance.

2nd Japan-Netherlands Student Conference Report

Details of the 2nd Japan-Netherlands Student Conference to be held in September 2011 will be reported. Additionally, the comparison of labor conditions between Japan and the Netherlands will also be conducted. Following that, results of study tour visiting Dutch companies and Japanese companies in the Netherlands will be reported. In this event, students will make proposals on work issues facing Japan.
Eco-campus Idea Contest 2011 & Eco-campus Tour 2011

Various persons such as students, faculty, staff, and outside specialists will participate in the campus tour in order to review energy saving challenges at facilities from a wider viewpoint and discuss how to proceed with energy saving activities. Participants will visit places chosen in the Eco-campus Contest.

The organizers of this event hope that it will provide a vehicle for participants to discuss future university education as well as student and local community activities and thereby help such to further develop. Both student and local community groups will be invited to participate and a booth will be set up where these groups can promote their activities.

This is an energy saving contest to look for practical energy-saving ideas including designs for experimental devices requiring specialized knowledge. It's hoped that this contest will increase interest in energy saving at the university. The best energy saving measures will be proposed to the university in order to put them into practice.
Cheerleader performance & Exhibition -- Finished

Under the theme of the 80th anniversary, "Reflecting on the origin... Looking to the future...", cheerleaders will present a performance. An exhibition of the history of the cheerleaders will be on display.

Persons making presentations will have five minutes to introduce and recommend a book. Each presentation will be followed by a two-minute question and answer session. Persons attending the battle will vote for the book they want to read most and the book receiving the most votes will win.
The theme for May books is "origin" and November, "future." Together with the biblio battles, current students, faculty members, and graduates will be able to "reflect on the origin" and "look to the future" together in wide-ranging discussions.
